Show us something bizarre.
Here... I normally don't do these things but since everyone seems to think I'm crazy with my computer issues here it is. I was finally able to snap a picture of the bizarreness that is my computer. So last weekend I noticed that my monitor was full of these squiggly lines (worse then above) so I restarted it any everything seemed fine so I carried on with my morning. About a half an hour later The lines were fastly reappearing. So I made a quick call to my dad who was still sleeping due to the fact that he had the stomach thing the day before. Then I IMed my brother inbetween squiggles and was able to get out "My computer is having serious problems... the screen is full of squiggly lines" to which my brother replied "thats not good" at that moment my start menu disappeared in a white fog as you can see above so I told my brother that my start menu disappeared and then I managed to get out a "help me" before I could no longer use it. So then I called him and he told me to turn it off and he would be over to attempt to swap out video cards. So I listened to him and when he came over and turned it back on the lines were gone (so he was the first person to think I was crazy). After we cleaned out like an inch coating of dust from the inside of the computer we realized that he didn't have the right hook up for the video card so we would leave it at that and see if it worked. Well it did for about a week...
On saturday I noticed that the lines were slowly appearing again in the corner of the screen... So I sounded the alarm again since I had a major paper to write and my brother dropped the video card off at my parents house for my Dad. Well when my mom and dad got here the lines had disappeared completly (thus again they thought I was crazy) so then my dad changed video cards learning that the one my brother had didn't work at all so he swapped them back and left again since all was fine. Like an hour after he left the stupid lines appeared but not in enough intensity to get a picture so that he would believe me. So then the above happened... and as you can see I got a picture. So I called my dad because I was happy that I finally got a picture and he wanted to know what happened if I turned my monitor off and on again... well the stupid lines disappeared again (good to know though) but who knows what is wrong with my computer at this point :'(
But I did get a picture and it is bizarre. So there
Show us your holiday decorations.
Here is one of my christmas decorations... it is a gingerbread house which me and Jules constructed Sunday evening. The first strange looking figure on the right is supposed to be a snowman but I think he looks more like a penguin on drugs... and If you notice the ground in front of the house is green... we ran our of icing so we used some frosting I had lying around and decided to sprinkle it green to represent the lack of snow. We are very talented. The box (yes it was a kit... we aren't that talented) contained an e-mail address and asked us to send in a picture and explain our house so naturally we did and this is what it said...
"This is our Gingerbread House, we are two 21 year old college students and this is how we relieve our stress during finals. The gingerbread kit did not come with enough icing, so being smart college students like we are, we improvised with frosting. Thus, you have the green sparkles, representing grass, because there isn't enough snow to cover the yard and house. (We recommend including more icing for future years). This was a really fun activity and thank you for allowing us to share our creation with you!
Now here you have Jules and Me proudly displaying the gingerbread house (we sent this picture in as well as the one above...jules is slightly overdressed for this activity) But in the background is my second christmas decoration my christmas tree... this isn't a really good picture but there you have it.
